A social crypto platform that offering access to the world of decentralised finance via the super simple and very intuitive platform.
Project Overview
Earnity is a social crypto platform and marketplace that is unlike anything that exists today. Earnity users can expect a highly-secure, easy-to-use app for buying, selling and holding crypto and DeFi assets.
MVP
The primary function of the Earnity App was to help crypto newbies and enthusiasts learn and earn in the crypto space.
Before we could help users learn crypto, we needed to develop the basics.
Tasks
Refine the interface, help make the product more user friendly and ultimately increase user engagement.
The crypto world can be overwhelming and we wanted to build a safe place where users could dip their toes in or dive right on into crypto trading by reducing the fear of the unknown through education and handholding through their first trade.
Result
By redesigning the onboarding process and implementing intuitive features, we’ve created a super simple and very intuitive platform.
This redesign has effectively reduced the fear of the unknown for crypto newcomers, allowing them to dip their toes or dive right into crypto trading with confidence.
Design Process
We provided an iterative process, starting with the research of existing product, followed by wireframing, prototyping, testing and refining based on feedback, ensuring users needs were met.

Getting Started
Onboarding can be challenging in the crypto space and we needed to cut down on the amount of information we were asking people for. We also saw users getting stuck in the KYC flow and abandoning the flow altogether.
Wireframes
Wireframes were essential in our design process as they provided a blueprint for the structure and new layout of product. By outlining the placement of elements and interactions, wireframes help visualize the UX and ensure the creation of intuitive and user-friendly flows.
UI Design - Desktop
In the realm of cryptocurrency platforms, where complexity can often overshadow user experience, thoughtful UI design becomes paramount.
Coin Details
In this section, users can view their recent activity including transactions where they sold, sent, or bought coins. Users can also check their current coin balance and access a detailed description of the coin, including: Price, Rank, Market Cap and 24 change.
Collection Details
On the Collection Details page, users can view a comprehensive description of their collection, including key features and background information. This page also provides detailed information on collection allocation showing how assets are distributed within the collection.
Portfolio
On the Portfolio page, users can view the total value of their investments along with a detailed breakdown of their portfolio including assets, quantity, amount, allocation and change. Users can see the biggest changes in their portfolio and track their recent activity.
Explore
In the Explore section users can discover a wide variety of coins and collections. Users can browse detailed information about different cryptocurrencies, including descriptions, prices, market caps, and recent changes.
Social
In the Social section users can share their thoughts and insights by writing posts about the latest trends in the crypto world. They can also explore posts from other users to stay updated on current discussions and developments.
UI Design - Mobile
One of the main tasks was to redesign the onboarding flow for our mobile application. We aimed to create a more intuitive and streamlined experience for new users.
Keeping everything in one visual space is helpful when working with remote teams.
Developers, PMs, and designers can access one source of truth and easily collaborate. I include thumbnails of comps for quick reference during Zoom calls, and link to prototype demos and JIRA tickets.
We need to easily guide users through the onboarding flow, highlighting the key steps and benefits using Earnity for their financial needs.
Learn
Buy
Onboarding created chapters and color-coded the different sections to expedite user through the KYC process.
Share
Now that we got them through the KYC process and successfully bought their first Bitcoin we wanted to encourage them to trade more so that they would get more comfortable with buying and selling assets.
On the homepage dashboard we added an entry point into Buy/Sell Flow.
